With fingers crossed on both hands, Waking Up in Maple Grove will be available to read this holiday season!
When Holly Cain wakes up on a pile of snow in a town called Maple Grove, she just knows she’s stuck in some kind of Hallmark movie.
It’s the most Christmastown she’s ever been to, with a man who lives on a freaking Poinsettia farm. A Poinsettia farm! And his name is Klaus Evergreen—shoot her now, or at least wake her up from this nightmare!
All the townspeople are over-the-top jolly, and the entire place smells like peppermint hot cocoa.
Klaus’s dad passed away earlier this year, and the poinsettia farmer is now supposed to take over the toy workshop and deliver toys to all the boys and girls on the nice list this Christmas. During the day, Holly takes her car to Garland’s Sleigh Repair shop. She makes progress in figuring out a way to leave Maple Grove, but by morning, she wakes up on the same pile of snow, and the dreadful smell of candy canes and chocolate is nauseating.
Holly wants to go back home, but first she needs to figure out why she keeps waking up in Maple Grove.
Wishing on a snowflake isn’t going to bring her back home. It’s going to take a miracle. She tries to stumble under the mistletoe with Klaus Evergreen, but even that doesn’t work.
“Okay, the cameramen can come out now. This has to be a joke. A naughty joke.”
